Environmental Monitoring Applications
Miri can provide solutions for a range of environmental monitoring applications. The MiriAD 2000 modules and MiriMap2000+ software have been designed specifically to enhance data-logging applications by combining the real-time control capabilities available via the in-built Ladder Diagram facilities with an easy to use data-logging interface. Combined with the multiple communications capabilites this provides a very flexible approach to remote data gathering and control applications.
The gap between real-time data monitoring and control and historical data-logging and retrieval has been bridged.
The MiriAD 2000 modules have in-built data-logging capabilities that can be used in environmental monitoring applications where historical data has to be recorded for later retrieval. The data can be retrieved via any connected communications path that has been configured for the Miri AD200 unit, e.g. wireless, PSTN or GSM. The data can also be retrieved via store and forward paths on wireless links when using the Miri2000 protocol. The need for site visits just to gather logged data can be reduced significantly and very remote and inaccessible sites can be monitored.
The MiriAD 2000 modules can interface to a range of environmental monitoring devices to measure conductivity, pH, turbidity, temperature etc. as well via the in-built analogue interface channels available (see the technical data page for further information). The MiriAD 2002 will support the SDI-12 interface standard and protocol. Interface to shaft encoder devices is also possible for millimetre accuracy level measurements.
