On-Board I/O Specifications

16 Digital Inputs

There are two ranges of input voltage available : -

10 - 50 Volts AC/DC Impedance 10k
50 -130 Volts AC/DC Impedance 47k

All inputs are optically isolated to 2.5kV

Pulse Inputs

All Digital Inputs can operate as pulse counters. The
first input is referred to the supply common and acts
as a fast pulse counter.

Input #1 can be configured as a pulse counter to 5kHz. into 4k7
Inputs 2 - 16 can be used as counters to 5hz.

8 Analog Inputs

The Analog Inputs are configurable as either : -

4 - 20mA / 1 - 5 Volts Resolution - 12 bits
0 - 20 mA / 0 - 5 Volts Accuracy - 0.1%
0 - 1 Volt Linearity - 0.1%

4 Digital Outputs

The Digital Outputs can be configured as either : -

Isolated Relays 2 form A
2 form C
5 Amps @ 30VDC
or 240VAC

Isolated or common Current - 100mA
ground transistors. Vcc max.- 35VDC
Isolation 2.5kV.

4 Analog Outputs

The last four analog channels can be configured as outputs in 4 - 20mA form : -

Resolution - 16 bits
Max. load resistance - 250 ohms
Accuracy - 0.1%
Linearity - 0.1%

Please note that the Analog Output facility is an optional extra and is not included in the standard model.

IO Expansion Module Specifications

Currently the following IO Expansion modules are available to extend the IO capability of the AD2000 units:

M16-LN

10 - 50 Volts AC/DC Impedance 10k

A 16 point digital input module with RS485 bus connection and 10-30VDC power supply. DIN rail mounted with removable terminals and separate commons per 8 inputs.

All inputs are optically isolated to 2.5kV

M16-HN

50 -130 Volts AC/DC Impedance 47k

A 16 point digital input module with RS485 bus connection and 10-30VDC power supply. DIN rail mounted with removable terminals and separate commons per 8 inputs.

M16-TR

2 Amps @ 30VDC or 240VAC

A 16 point digital relay output module with RS485 bus connection and 10-30VDC power supply. DIN rail mounted with removable terminals and separate commons per 8 outputs.

M232-485

An RS232/RS485 (2 wire) converter to allow connection of the IO Expansion modules to existsing AD2000 RS232 ports. Allows up to a maximum of 32 modules per converter.
